GUIDELINES FOR COMMENTS

Comments from residents are more than welcome, however personal attacks on individuals, bad language and unsubstantiated rumours will not be accepted. It's OK to be blunt, but it's NOT OK to engage in name-calling, rude, uncivil or vulgar behaviour. Please stick to the topic and keep it clean. Comments from our political representatives are also very welcome here.

Clarington Council and Committee meetings

Council chambers, 40 Temperance Street, Bowmanville. Council and Committee meetings always open to public.

It is crucial that our elected politicians hear and understand our community concerns. The majority gave up and gave in to Regional Chair Anderson so the incinerator is now in commercial operation. Worse, they gave in to less monitoring, no longer the best of the best Clarington was promised. Instead we are getting the bare minimum required by the Province, which is NOT the best of the best. So who can you trust? Most of our Clarington Council has not lived up to their campaign promises. Only two new councillors, Traill and Neal, have stood up for the residents on numerous issues including the incinerator and Veridian again.

The flip-flops by Mayor Foster and others are unacceptable. There are no excuses good enough.

Durham Regional Council

Next Meeting - Wednesday, February 8, 2017 - 9:30 a.m.
Council Chambers, Administration Headquarters, 605 Rossland Road East, Whitby, Ontario L1N 6A3
Or watch on Rogers Cable 10 (Regional Council meetings are always televised, live, for your entertainment)

Don't let them sit sassy and satisfied that they were elected or re-elected. Many of the regional councillors have not lived up to their campaign promises and have continued their poor start when the majority supported Roger Anderson and the actions he has taken and continues to take regarding the incinerator, urban sprawl, bullying and twisting the words of delegations who disagree with him... Residents are noticing his behaviour and that of certain members of Council.

There has been something rotten in the state of Durham for a long time and some of it continues.
